Skinny Chicken teriyaki
In Japan, teriyaki is a mix of soy sauce, sake and the rice wine mirin, which imparts a subtle sweetness and has much less sugar than the Korean influenced pineapple, ginger, garlic and brown sugar. My version is the Japanese style. I add a bit of Allulose plant based sugar alternative to boost the sweetness at no cost to your calories. The chicken is also marinated in the same sauce overnight to achieve maximum flavor, then pan seared till perfect and tossed with scallion and served over white rice. Additional side available.
